摘要 | Currently, the truncated binary exponential backoff based scheme had been defined as the mandatory contention resolution scheme in WiMAX standards. However, it had been discussed in many research that these schemes can not work perfectly with WiMAX in most cases. In this paper, a novel N modules based self-adaptive contention resolution scheme has been proposed, which divides all Subscriber Stations into several groups according to the number of available transmission opportunities in each frame and requires each Subscriber Station send bandwidth request during its group time. Meanwhile, the number of available transmission opportunities will be self-adaptively updated by Base Station according to the average collision probability presented in last frame. The analysis and simulation results show our scheme can improve the performance of whole network remarkably. © 2008. IEEE. |
