Abstract

Millennials tourists generated subjective and diverse experiential tourism demands. The emerging and developing of tourism mobile application fit their needs to some extent. By using general psychology framework and the peak and end effect, the research was guided to focus on individuals themselves and exploring their travel motivations in terms of socialization and novelty. This research conducted qualitative interview method combined with the perspective of stakeholder theory. Findings indicated seven characteristics that millennials caring about: travel-mate selection, recording and sharing, subjective personalized choice, social connections, security, virtual reality& metaverse, specific situation under the COVID-19. This study grasped the distinctiveness of millennials to analysis their preference and combined the psychology theory. Findings of this study not only explored tourism applications from the experiential perspectives, but also enriched the study of experiential tourism and the practical application direction in the tourism field.
