Abstract | Due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, the hotel and lodging industry has experienced extraordinary hurdles in recent years. Simultaneously, with a serious concern on the environmental uncertainty and the increasing sense of hygiene condition, a number of guests prefer some additional green and sustainable practices when selecting hotels. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify green hotel guest’s personality through big data and machine learning techniques in order to evaluate the differences in responsible environmental behavior across personality traits. Online guest reviews from green hotel will be collected from TripAdvisor, and both big five personality and MBTI personality will be detected and analyzed.
