| Abstract |
传统美国汉学家将明末思想家李贽定位成“极端个人主义者”，认为他反对传统儒家思想，是当时异端。这一论断与中国学界对李贽的定位类似。近年来汉学家们从自传、书信等多种材料出发，指出李贽并未反儒，他重视社会人伦与公共事务，符合晚明风气与思潮。这不仅是对李贽的重新定位，也表明儒家思想在当时与时俱进。他们的研究对理解明清思想的发展提出了新思路，也为消除中国哲学和文学之间界限，为从文学性材料解读思想提供了借鉴。 |
