Abstract | We describe some recent progress in moving mesh methods with application to computational fluid dynamics. The emphasis is on the application to gas dynamics governed by hyperbolic system of conservation laws. Test problems in two- and three-dimensions are computed using a proposed moving mesh algorithm. The computations demonstrate that our methods are efficient for solving problems with shock discontinuities. |
