Anonymous ballot is a hot application in people's daily life. The traditional ballot method has several defects. Firstly, during the ballot process, people's intervention may lead to injustice and personal information leakage. Secondly, traditional ballot method needs to prepare ballot appliances and take several steps such as voting, collecting and counting. These processes waste lots of time and energy. To this end, this paper proposes a new anonymous ballot method based on the Bluetooth Ad-hoc Networks. By encoding the ballot information into the names of Bluetooth devices, a local Ad-hoc network which consists of smartphones is set up. The anonymous ballot can be easily implemented by using this Bluetooth network, which is more convenient and secure than the traditional one. A system prototype based on Android platform is implemented and the availability of the system is validated by real experiments.
