Abstract | E-learning presents a new learning environment to enable students to acquire a different set of skills to be successful learners (Romiszowski, 2004). Some researchers found that students become more independent and motivated when courses are run via an electronic mode than through the traditional face-to-face setting. Drawing on this perspective, an online module using Articulate, an e-learning toolkit, for the course ‘Assessment and Evaluation’ was designed. The present study, at a Chinese college, aims to analyse students’ e-learning experiences by investigating: 1) their perceptions of using online interactive module; and 2) benefits obtained when using online interactive materials. A mixed-methods approach was used to collect data. The results revealed that students generally accepted the online module and considered it an effective learning tool to a certain extent. These findings also suggested that students tend to moderately and cautiously accept the online module. |
