Grid computing offers great opportunities for companies to tap new streams of revenues by taking advantages of the wired computing powers based on the grid service architectures. In commercial applications, such as on-demand utility computing, the revenues or charges usually are based on the grid services access and utilization. In this paper, we analyze the grid service access and resource usages. The grid service composition based resource usages greatly simplifies the grid service management such as scheduling and monitoring. Then we conduct discussion on pricing strategies based on the access patterns and resources usage patterns. To allow reliable and secure transactions, we identify several security issues and propose a gateway implementation for accessing grid services.
