Graduated from top universities in The Netherlands, Dr. Wilhelmus Johannes Helmut WARMENHOVEN holds a PhD in Social Sciences from Radboud University Nijmegen and an MBA from University of Maastricht. 

His academic interests include adolescents, China, development issues, foreign language acquisition, one-child policy, and digital society.

As an international academic lecturer and researcher, he has over 12 years of teaching experience, 8 years of research experience and 15 years of management experience on 3 different continents. Speaking five languages fluently, with great feeling for intercultural relations, Dr. Warmenhoven has served as Convener for German Language and Culture in Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College since 2014, and was the Coordinator of the Centre for Foreign Languages and Cultures from 2014 – 2017. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of the College.
