Dr. CHEN Rongrong received her BSSc from Hong Kong Baptist University, MSc from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and PhD from University of Hong Kong.
She is specifically interested in uncovering how extensive gaming/sports/meditation experiences affect fundamental visuomotor capabilities that are likely to transfer to a wide range of new skills to adapt to real-world life challenges. She studies perceptual expertise and individual differences in perception and action, using behavioural experiments, including virtual reality and eye tracking techniques.
Dr. CHEN has published articles in the top-tier journals in the field of psychology and vision, i.e., Psychological Science, Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception & Performance and Journal of Vision. She served as a reviewer for Frontiers in Psychology; PLos One; Attention, Perception & Psychophysics; Cognitive Sciences Society Conference Proceedings; Innovative Teaching and Learning.
Dr. CHEN has a hybrid academic background and worked as a game designer in Hong Kong after her Master's graduation. She is Assistant Professor of Applied Psychology Programme at Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College.
