Abstract | This chapter focuses on chances in global leadership in the post-pandemic world. It first examines the United States and China in the framework of the G2 to analyse the global leadership and the pandemic’s impacts. Then, the chapter examines differences between the G2 and the G20 and the roles of the G2 in global leadership. It also focuses on the complex behaviours the G2 countries have done since it falls into conflict with the concept of the “Kindleberger Trap,” referring a global leadership vacuum. Finally, the chapter discusses the G2 countries’ roles and positions to increase their global leadership capacities/capabilities in the post-pandemic era. |
